Here's a little tip...
When you're hosting a Webex demo for a remote customer, turn your Gmail notifier OFF first. Otherwise, they get to see whatever pops up in the corner of your display.
Thank you Sparkey. I'm sure the 2 men and women in Iowa who were watching this demo are glad to know their support vendor still has it going on.

BAhahahah! That's awesome and hysterical.
I love it! We had a staff member giving a presentation to a large group of prospective studetns adn their parents (probably an audience of 100) when a pop-up pornography ad covered the power point presentation! You can just imagine how embarrassed he was!
I've got the title for your biography:
Everything embarrassing Jeff's Way Comes
A little play on the Something Wicked This Way Comes title...
Love it!
Awesome.
I know for a fact you're not hot. It's still like -12F in your neck of the woods, isn't it?
Ah, the wonderfully annoying aspect of facebook!
Here's a dumb question... Where is Gmail notifier? I don't see a setting for that?
Why is it always so funny when it's someone else's embarrassment? LOL! Sorry, but I had to laugh too!
charli - Are you saying it's funny that Sparkey thinks I'm hot?
durblady - Ouch!
ve - That's me!
april - Heh... I figured if I couldn't laugh about it (yet) that I should share it with all of you instead.
kathy - You're way off... it's climbed to a balmy -4 here now.
ed - At least people have stopped throwing the damn sheep at me.
idaho dad - I'm not sure it's an actual Gmail function. I probably downloaded it as a Firefox add-on.
lady ridesalot - No problem. I wouldn't have shared it if I didn't want people to laugh about it.
That is hilarious.
Hehe, that's pretty funny
Oh, please don't even pretend you didn't pay Sparky to send that e-mail at just that time.
So did your clients demand a picture??
Hey, could have been worse!
I have had some embarrassing Outlook popups appear during NetMeetings but nothing like this. Superb!!!
I love it. Why is it people who work in offices get to have all the fun?
What's really funny is your wife's reaction.
Apparently they were wrong when they said you have a face only a mother could love!
heather - Yeah, for you maybe.
windyridge - It seems funnier today. Yesterday not so much.
jd - How did you know? Am I that transparent?
elizabeth - No, we've already met in the past. So they are well aware of my hotness.
whit - Can you imagine if one of those runaway porn pop-up ads took over the screen? Yikes!
mulled vine - "Superb" never occurred to me, but I'm thrilled you think so :-)
prefers - That's why we work in offices.
carlae - Yes, she tends to get a kick out of my embarrassments.
anon - Let me guess... Dad?
So how did the rest of the presentation go? :)
That's great!
We had a similar thing happen to a guest lecturer in vet school. 45 minutes into a somber lecture on pain and pain control, an ad for penis enhancement popped up.
I'd like to claim that we maintained a dignified silence while the lecturer walked from the back of the room up to the podium so he could close the pop-up window, but... that would be a lie.
That is totally awesome!!
They must have seen your 80s mullet picture!
And this -- THIS -- is why being totally out of the loop where it comes to tech comes in handy!
You never know, information like this could spur sales. :)
