Ok, granted a very young woman, but as of today - one year closer to the real deal.
Roseanna is a sweet girl with a huge beautiful heart who never gives us any problems, worries or reasons to see her teachers during conferences. And after her two older brothers, she also is, let's just say, a refreshing contrast - and leave it at that.
So Happy 12th Birthday sweetheart! Your mom and I are extremely proud of you and we love you to pieces.

mooselet - LOL! Believe it or not I thought about you the whole time I was writing this. I thought, "oh Mooselet's going to bust my chops on this one." Don't worry though, your daughter is living vicariously through my oldest just fine. ;-)

Awww, so cute! I already know Little Miss won't give me that satisfaction. So are you a parent who goes to conferences even though there's nothing "bad" to report? My husband and I have a disagreement on this need -- him from the teacher perspective and me from uhh my perspective!

michelle - I don't believe a parent of a "good" student should take up the teacher's time during conferences when there are so many parents who need to discuss actual problems. I hate it when I have to wait in line for a parent that is basking in the wonderfulness of their child, when my kid is getting a D in something.

This is like the second or third blog I've read this morning where it's someone's birthday. Today is also my husband's birthday. So then I got to thinking, "What is up with all these June 4 birthdays?" And then I realized there's not much else to do in winter...

michelle - For some dumb reason, our high schools have a system where you get in line. Sometimes it takes 1/2 hour to 45 minutes to see the more popular (or unpopular) teachers. It's really frustrating. And stupid. That's why I hate it when people who don't need to be there take up the time.
