I thought alot about your post and realized that nothing is not something which can sometimes not not be a good thing. Yet if nature abhors a vacuum, what will fill the void in your post?
I think it's ingenious, really. It either causes people to pause and wonder if you are okay or to think about those days when there really is nothing to say but you just want to say something.
jennine - If you thought a lot about this post, then you've already put 100% more thought into than I did.
bill - Like Jennine implied... Is there really such a thing as nothing?
holmes and hilly - It really hadn't occurred to me that people might think something was wrong - but now that you mention it, I can see how that could happen.
I thought the worst when I saw this post too. Then when I saw that you had so manny comments and I was sure something was wrong. I'm glad to see everything is OK! :o) Elizabeth
I"m with you on that. there has been SO much drama that I have absolutely nothing to say. none of it can be said online, so I hope things happen for you to blog about, perhaps you can stir up some controversy at work by wearing girls panties over the top of your slacks

I've always wondered what would happen if someone wrote a post about nothing. Or should I say didn't write a post about something?
Heh, with my luck this will get more comments than the stuff I rack my brain over when I'm trying to be creative.
Please don't let that happen, because that would just be sad.

Bill? Any thoughts?
O.K. Jennine. Writing about nothing==is really writing about something!
I'm just glad everything's okay. My morbid imagination took over when I saw this pop up in my reader.

When I did something like this, I got one of my highest comment counts to date!
How Seinfeldesque~
heh... believe it or not, i've done a few variations of the "nothing" post -- and, sadly, the comment results have often been spectacular.
i hate when that happens. ; )
You know, I just did a post saying I couldn't say what I wanted to write and got more comments than usual. (Which still isn't a lot!)
Makes you want to write another well-thought-out post doesn't it?
dave2 - I tried to search your site to see that post, but I couldn't find it because there was, umm... nothing to search on.
carla - That's right. Seinfeld did this same thing for 8 years! I'm expecting a call from NBC any minute now.
neva - Oh, but I'm sure your "nothing" posts WERE spectacular!
heather - Well, considering I haven't written a "well-thought-out" post yet to date, I wouldn't go that far.
whit - I couldn't agree more.
Okay. No comment, in that case. :)

Brilliant!
(I've filed this in my Why-Didn't-I-Think-of-That category...)
Oops.
Posted the above under my work "identity" by mistake.
D'oh!

See? No need to rack your brain ever again, Jeff. We all hang on your every
It's amazing the amount of comments this post got! Only you, Jeff! Just brilliant. And very Jerry
I have actually been writing nothing for, like, a month, and I haven't gotten any comments. Not fair. I guess you have to have a title.
Best. Post. Ever.

I did this once only I put the entire post in the comments just to infuriate everyone. It did.
Very existential.
Is nothing really something? Is something really nothing? Will Britney ever make a comeback?
These are the questions that haunt me at night.
I am obviously writing too much.
Something about brevity being the soul of wit and all that jazz...
Alright, everyone "stole" my comment on this one, from being very "Seinfeldish" to "why didn't I think of it"!
