Ooh... my name in Scrabble® is worth 23 points. Not too bad!
But I wonder how Jim Carrey would feel about that?
Of course now I'm curious... Have any of you seen this movie yet? And if so, was it any good?
During my 10 years on the road as a musician, I was fortunate enough to be able to spend time in most of our United States. Here, in red, is a map of every state I've either performed or vacationed in. As you can see, I still need to get my butt up to the corners!
And - Thank you to Paul Davidson for this post yesterday where he so eloquently demonstrates just how unironic Alanis Morissette's song Ironic truly is. I've always hated that song - and Paul clearly shows how he feels my pain.

Bah! Pacific Northwest hater! :-)
How did you hit Massachusetts and Rhode Island but somehow bypassed Connecticut? Is that even possible?
Ok, this has nothing to do with anything, but some people claim to see stars when the labia majora and minora are involved... =)
dave2 - As I commented in my last post, I don't know why I've never been up there! Especially considering I have several first cousins who live in Seattle who invite me to stay there (with free room and food) every time I talk to them. Hello!
mooselet - I think Connecticut was closed at the time.
greenyflower - Yeah, mostly women! (Thanks, now I'm going to have to try to explain this conversation to my wife!)
HELLO Mr Harmonica Man, I live in Washington state, I was born in Idaho and I lived in Oregon for about 5 or so years...I invite you to come visit our magical region and bring your musical talent, we're having a party in the late summer and you can jam with the rest of the boys. My brother and his band will be here. Bring the wife and kids we have plenty of room, but book early.
I haven't seen The Number 23 yet. I'm a big fan of movies like this, with riddles and mysteries but they rarely ever pan out. Pi was one of my faves. But I'll probaby for 23 to make it to Netflix.
Sigh. Per Webster, anything unexpected can be ironic. WHEN are YOU PEOPLE just going to LET IT DIE.
jeff, where in NY were you?
carla - You know, it's getting harder and harder to make excuses for not getting up there. And you're not helping!
la daddy - I'm a big fan of mysteries too. Let me know if you see it before I do.
schnozz - Isn't it ironic that Webster has the definition of ironic wrong. At least that's what US people think.
deborah - I've worked in Syracuse, Albany, White Plains and of course vacactioned in the large apple.
Dude. You've never been to Vegas? And you call yourself a harmonica player?
Jeff: You had to have been in Seattle, when you took a cruise out of there to Alaska?
mitch - Actually, I've never been interested in Vegas. I can't even win bingo at my church.
dad - Nope. We departed from Vancouver.
If you do ever find yourself in my corner of the world you must look me up. I will tell you what to see, where to eat and how to make the locals love you....not an easy thing to do.
Oh, and I have a camp on beautiful Lake Megunticook that is the prettiest spot on earth.
Maine: The Way Life Should Be
Jim Carrey can be scary when he's being funny. I might not sleep for a week if I watch 23. I've been to all the states surrounding Oregon, but never set foot in the state. Still not sure how that happens.
I saw 23, It was ok, Jim did a good job with it, it was a little weird here and there... the ending was good. so I say go for it.
Remember I told you how much I liked pi? Weird movie but good.
Smith Rock State Park, by Bend
